I have experience in many different sectors that are related to mental health and substance abuse. My first job was working with teens and children providing Case Management and Community Based Rehabilitation Services. During this time I realized that I wanted to enhance my education to work with more people on a deeper level.
I decided to go back to school where I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I learned different techniques and how to connect with people from different backgrounds. Being fluent in Spanish has assisted me in making these connections. Ever since I finished my program, I have been getting more experience working as a therapist one on one with adults, adolescents, and children who need help to change their lives for the better. I like to work with people and meet them at their level. I listen to each person’s needs and adjust my technique so that I am giving each person the best care. I believe it is important to work with the client and let them take the lead on what they hope to achieve and learn while in counseling. I have a passion for working with others, and I will do what I can to be there for each individual. I want to make the most of our time together.
